Phillips Fine Foods was founded in the 1970s by Richard Phillips to produce Smoked Salmon for hotels and restaurants on the Island and also for export. The present owner Mr Dove took over the business in 1992 after Mr Phillips retired and the business ceased active trading.




Mr Dove soon expanded the business and it had to move from its original premises at Wight Farm in Binstead to a site in Cowes. Now offering a wide range of fresh, frozen and smoked fish Phillips Fine Foods was now serving more of the Islands hospitality industry than ever before.


In 2002 a new purpose built site was acquired and the business moved again. Now in a specially designed building we smoke even more fresh fish and hold a larger range of fresh and frozen products. We now also benefit from a shop which is open to the public six days a week with a large car park.

Retail

We have a large easily accessible shop on site with ample car parking.  The shop is open Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4pm and Saturday, 8.00am to 1.00pm. We provide one of the widest selections of fresh, frozen and smoked fish and seafoods on the Island and specialise in producing our own smoked fish.

Seafood platter
Our main deliveries arrive twice a week with local fish and shellfish arriving daily, subject to landings.  We can prepare all fish to your requirements and provide advice and recipe ideas as well.  Having a party and stuck for ideas?  Why not try one of our poached and decorated salmon or a seafood platter, perfect for taking the stress out of any event.


We now offer a Home Delivery Service Island wide. Deliveries to Newport and East Wight are on Tuesdays and Thursdays and to Newport and West Wight on Wednesdays and Fridays. Simply telephone your order through by 3pm on the previous day.

Trade

We offer deliveries Monday to Saturdays Island wide to enable you to order daily.  All orders placed before 9.00am will be delivered that day (subject to availability) and you can also leave orders on our answerphone after evening service so that you can manage your stock turnover with the minimum amount of fuss.


We can fax you with our fresh product list twice a week so that you can see what is available and any price variations that may be of interest.  We order our fresh fish a minimum of twice a week so if there is anything in particular that you are looking for we are always happy to source it for you.
